Cancellation and Refund Policy

OppaLang is committed to providing an enjoyable and reliable learning environment for both students and tutors. Please review the booking, cancellation, and refund policies below so everyone can have a smooth experience.

Students (Student Policy)

1. Lesson Cancellation and Refunds

  • Cancel at least 12 hours before the lesson: Receive a full refund of the lesson fee.
  • Cancel within 12 hours of the lesson: Receive a 50% refund of the lesson fee. The remaining 50% is paid to the tutor for their preparation time.
  • After the scheduled start time: Cancellations and refunds are not available.

2. Late Arrival and No-show

  • You may still join after the lesson starts; however, the time you miss will be deducted from the total lesson duration.
  • The lesson automatically ends 25 minutes after the scheduled start time.
  • Tutors are required to remain available until the official end of the scheduled lesson time.
  • If a student does not attend the lesson (No-show), the lesson fee is non-refundable and is paid to the tutor.

Tutors (Tutor Policy)

1. Lesson Cancellation

  • Tutors may cancel a lesson before the scheduled start time, and students will receive a full refund. Frequent cancellations within 12 hours of the lesson may result in penalties on the tutor account.
  • Lessons cannot be cancelled after the scheduled start time.

2. Lateness and No-show

  • If a tutor arrives more than 5 minutes late: After the lesson concludes, the student may request a full refund via the "Report" option at their discretion.
  • If a tutor misses the lesson: The student can report it as a "No-show," and the lesson fee will be fully refunded.
