BRN Company (hereinafter referred to as "the Company," "we," "us," or "our") recognizes the importance of our social responsibility in operating the OppaLang online Korean conversation service (hereinafter referred to as "the Service") and is committed to the proper management of personal information at all times.   • Account Suspension: We retain your data, including lesson information, in case you wish to use the service again.
  • Account Deletion: We delete your data and anonymize all information related to your lessons. However, information required to be retained for a certain period according to relevant laws follows [11. Retention and Usage Period of Personal Information] below.
  • User Rights: Members can view or modify their registered personal information at any time and may request cancellation of membership (withdrawal of consent).

Article 11 Retention and Usage Period of Personal Information

In principle, we destroy personal information without delay after the purpose of collection and use has been achieved. However, if it is necessary to preserve it according to the provisions of relevant laws, we retain member information for a certain period as determined by relevant laws as follows.

Article 12 Procedures and Methods for Destruction of Personal Information

In principle, we destroy personal information without delay when the purpose of processing personal information is achieved. The destruction procedures and methods are as follows.

Destruction Procedures

  • Information entered by the member for membership registration, etc., is transferred to a separate DB (or a separate file cabinet in the case of paper) after the purpose is achieved and is destroyed after being stored for a certain period according to information protection reasons under internal policies and other relevant laws (see Article 11).
  • Personal information transferred to a separate DB is not used for purposes other than retention unless required by law.

Destruction Methods

  • Personal information stored in electronic file format is deleted using technical methods that cannot reproduce the record.
  • Personal information output on paper is destroyed by shredding with a shredder or incineration.

Article 13 Matters Related to Providing Personal Information to Third Parties
